The annual Wintertime Open in Pasadena, California has turned into the unofficial start of the disc golf touring season for many pros, especially those living on the west coast. The PDGA B-Tier tournament begins a string of tournaments leading up to the Memorial Championship in Arizona.
Central Coast Disc Golf, friends of ATDG, were on on site to film the action and caught a number of highlights.
Paul McBeth eagled this hole in 2015’s tournament and also nailed it in the first round of this year’s event. Then, later that day in round two, bettered his already impressive drive and nailed another eagle putt.
That’s just nuts.
When Simon Lizotte is facing two straight holes that each measure 505 feet, what does he do? He only needs a combined two drives and two putts. Lizotte rips a Discmania PD2 before hitting two putts that would easily get into the heads of many disc golfers.
Have you ever seen a 500 foot hole look that easy?
Kyle Eckmann took an eagle of his own, but only needed one throw to accomplish the feat. Eckmann nails a beautiful forehand drive with an Innova Destroyer that ends in a skip finish right into the basket on the second hole at Oak Grove.
A perfectly placed shot kept on a low line like this one is just a beauty!
