Gaining a disc golf sponsorship is a goal for many who participate in disc golf tournaments. The question on how to achieve said sponsorship is one we hear often. While ATDG currently doesn’t sponsor anyone, we always give the same answer to anyone who sends us an inquiry: Keep playing well and you’ll get noticed. This week, one disc golf company just made it easier for you to get catch their attention.
Discmania announced the new Combine series with the ultimate goal of finding new members for Team Discmania. The Discmania Combine is a series of six events designed to test disc golfers in a variety of situations led by Discmania team members Avery Jenkins and Eric Oakley. The top five competitors from each event will be monitored during the season on their tournament performances and finishes. Later in the year, the top three athletes will be invited with an all expence paid trip to the Discmania headquarters in Rancho Cucamonga, California.
Discmania says the on-the-course skill-set is only one of four areas they are focusing on: Skillful Display of Throwing Ability, Player Representation, Sportsmanlike Attitude, Professional Image.
The first three of the planned six events for 2016 have been announced :
The Combine will focus on a full round of golf and the following four tests.
Space is very limited in each of these events! If you think you have what it takes to earn a Discmania sponsorship, sign up today for the Discmania Combine.
