The 2024 Tim Selinske US Masters Disc Golf Championship Presented by Innova was as competitive and fun-to-follow as most DGPT events. In the MP40 division, the margin of victory was a single stroke with the final few holes of competition deciding the outcome. In FP40, Team Innova’s Jennifer Allen narrowly lost in a four-hole playoff against Sarah Hokom.
Team Innova had three athletes who won their division, earning PDGA Major titles. Eric Rainey won in MP60, shooting one of the best event ratings of his career. Kathy Hardyman won in a playoff in FP60, earning her first Major title in over a decade. And the legend, Pete May, won in MP80 adding another Major title to his ever-growing trophy collection.
Team Innova’s Eric Rainey won the 2024 Tim Selinske US Masters in the MP60 division, averaging 1017-rated for the event. That event rating was one of the 10 best across all divisions at the Tim, including MP40. Eric shot an insanely hot, -15, in the third round, giving himself a huge lead going into the final round. He ultimately won the event by 22 strokes.
This is Eric Rainey’s 128th career win according to Statmando. It is his 5th Tim Selinske Masters win in the last 10 years, including 3 wins in the last 4 years. Eric currently sits in 3rd in the Global Masters Series Ranking for MP60-64.

Kathy Hardyman just won her 9th PDGA Major! Between 2003 and 2010, Kathy was a regular atop Major podiums, but her win at last weekend’s Tim Selinske Masters was the first Major title she’s picked up in over a decade. That makes 106 career wins for Kathy, putting her in an elite club of athletes beyond the 100-win mark. The PDGA says, “only about .030% of members have reached the 100 win milestone so far.”
Kathy’s win at the Tim was anything but easy. She went into the final round one stroke behind Laurie Cloyes-Chupa; the two faced off in a two-hole playoff where Kathy came out on top. Hopefully this victory launches Kathy into another run of Major victories like she had in the 2000s.

Pete May is the MP80 GOAT. He just secured his 15th PDGA Major win at last weekend’s Tim Selinske Masters going wire-to-wire through four rounds. Pete is one of the most prolific winners in PDGA Major history. Earlier this year, he won the PDGA Masters World Championship in the MP80 division as well.
Beyond his exceptional play, Pete May is a great role model in the sport. He is humble, hard-working, and plays more because he loves disc golf than because he loves winning. Keep dominating your division, Pete!
